Rania Deranieh, PhD

Chief Technology Officer

Rania has a PhD in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology from Wayne State University. She is experienced in tissue and organoid engineering. Her advanced cell culture techniques include handling and maintenance of embryonic and induced pluripotent stem cells, differentiation and characterisation of multiple types of cells, and generation and characterisation of 3D cell culture model systems.

Anil has a PhD from the John Innes Centre specialising in chloroplast molecular biology. Over a period of 25 years, he established The Manchester Chloroplast Transformation Group. Anil has published over 50 scientific papers including key papers in the chloroplast biotechnology field on high yield expression of proteins and improving the chloroplast transformation tool box.
